They are at it again. Somebody said right about the present situation of cricket in India :
"Morons are on the run and are ruining the game"BCCI has again proved why they are the stupidest board of the game. The Indian team ODI jersey is simply getting darker and darker!
One might wonder if the Men in Blue would turn Men in Black. Who knows ? Maybe, by the time I pass out my school, the Indian jersey could turn just around the color of the Black Caps(New Zealand). The New ODI Jersey
Maybe you are rich BCCI, but remember that recession might hit you as well!
Alright, now to be honest I am seriously worried about the growing hype around the team. Why ? Because whenever the hype grows up, the Indian team goes down. And to add to the woes is this new Indian cricket team look. Whoever the designer of this new look is, in my opinion he/she can be criticized as well as praise about. Criticized because of this dull, fugly look and praised because as Dhoni said,"Hopefully, this one won't get too dirty and this would save the laundry charges as well"!
Maybe I am being superstitious, but I am seriously afraid that NZ tour might be a disaster as World Cup 07 was when before it started, the Indian team jersey got another new look.
Yuvi's a good model indeed !
Throughout this presentation, Yuvraj was at his hilarious best, and this pose of him explains it all. Harsha Bhogle, who was the host of this event kept the audience in good humour with his Q & A sessions with MSD, Yuvi, Pragyan Ojha, Zaheer Khan, Dinesh Kartik and Rohit Sharma. Yuvi chose to add 'ask Dhoni' to a few of his replies. For instance when asked if he was happy with his batting position at No.4, he said: "Very happy, but you have to ask Dhoni. He decides the batting line-up."
In any case, even as I am ending this post, the fear of a disasterous tour of NZ is still looming large on my mind.
Anyway, I wish India the very best for their tour. Go India !!

Don't worry. India will win in NZ and win well. Their batting is too deep and I doubt that the Kiwi top order will be able to resist Ishant and Zaheer.
Good luck with your studies.

Thanks mate! Even I hope Dhoni will turn his move into heap of gold when his team plays. And I also hope to see the team continue it's good form.
Thanks for wishing for my studies. Whew ! My exams are on as well.

I don't think this uniform is half as bad as the butt ugly light blue thing with the fading yellow numbers on the back. That light blue uniform was too pale and it definitely did not go with the tri color as well as navy blue. There is a theory with on field attire - It has to be loud enough to make a boom. And this new jersey is in line with this cardinal rule of sports design. It can be identified from afar; the names and numbers are legible and it's a welcome change from the pukish uniforms of the yore! And f.y.i. Tarun Tahiliani designed this jersey... not that am a fan of his or anything.
Speaking of India's fortunes in NZ, I'm superstitious about this sort of stuff too. But, at the same time I am confident that Dhoni has enough conviction to wipe out any trails crossed by ugly black cats (or in this case ugly black caps)!

okay agreed that this one is better than the previous one. But the thing is what was the actual need of it ? And to be honest, the tri colour is suiting with this one as well. Only orange colour is looking good with it. There's a proverb in Australia: "If you’re on a good thing stick to it." Thanks to Nesta Quin for this one.
In any case, the team was looking good before the World Cup as well. They comprehensively won against Windies and Sri Lanka. And look what their new look did to them ! Though I am pretty confident that Dhoni and his men can win against the black caps.

rishabh, don't worry mate, the jersey has to remain some shade of blue, ICC guidelines you see!
and yeah, may be being superstitions are a good thing!

Thanks for those guidelines ankit !
so are you superstitious as well ?

I'm not superstitious Rishabh... but I still don't like the color. But at least we can blame something if we do lose the ODI and T20 series. I don't think we will, but the games will be tight... and most probably low scoring games too.

ya...given the new zealand pitches, I expect results in tests as well. I expect them to be over by 4 days, or maximum half of the day 5.
Though it would be great to see low scoring T20s and ODIs. They provide me more fun and excitement than the high scoring ones. To be honest, for me this jersey is so-so. Though yes, if a guy like me notices this coincidence with the World Cup loss, he would surely blame BCCI and the one who thought of designing this new jersey.
