Everything you need to know about Motorcycle Saddlebags

All motorcycle enthusiasts are aware of the importance of motorcycle saddlebags . You may not be planning a journey anytime soon but know that the saddlebags are not for long journeys only. They are ideal even for short distances such as going to work daily because they carry items safely as you ride your motorcycle. The saddlebag is usually oblong shaped and is mounted above the rear wheel. It also has a hinged lid so that opening and closing is easier. The saddlebag is of course hollow and there is a protective lining on the insides. You can use it to store first aid, clothing, food, and so on. There are different styles, materials, and types of these bags in the market today. While making your purchase, you should keep three main things in mind: security, quality, and price.

Security

Mainly, you will find two variations of motorcycle bags throw over saddlebags and bolt on saddlebags. Throw over saddlebags are cheaper and can be installed with ease. But if security is your priority you should go with the bolt on saddlebags. Just as the name suggests, they come with a bolt and will keep your goods safe. When you make a purchase, you should always buy saddlebags that can be locked. This is very important for security. There are models that come with buckles and these are the safest choice because they will protect your items against theft.

Quality

The most common material used in making motorcycle luggage today is leather. The choice is obvious because leather is more durable and waterproof. Black is the most common option but there are different colors to choose from including hot pink for women who want to show off rough femininity.

Price

Coming to the price, you can make your choice based on how much you can actually afford for the saddlebag. Leather saddlebags are clearly more expensive but they are also better. Thus, it all boils down to your choice and priority. If durability is your priority, you should go for leather and if price is your priority you can go for synthetic leather. However, note that you have cheaper options to explore in leather too. You can log on to the Internet and carry out a search to find the cheaper rates. Internet research will make things easier for you and if you find a saddlebag that suits all your requirements you can buy it instantly over the Internet itself. However, you should be careful about the authenticity of the website you choose to shop from. Make sure you have numerous payment options and that the website offers money-back guarantee so that if you don’t like the item, you can exchange it or ask for a refund. It will just take you a few minutes to narrow down to the best website. A little effort will ensure that you have the right saddlebag for your motorcycle, which is durable, reliable, affordable, and comfortable.

Motorcycle Helmets, and other Motorbike accessories.

Labels: , , , ,

Ever wondered that there are so many types of helmets which protect us from hurting our face and head? Certainly, apart from cricket helmets, there are. Most of the common ones are the ones used to wear during bike or car racing. You might just know of only few types of Motorcycle helmets that actors wear during stunts.

Actually, there are a lot of them in various sizes and styles. One of those which I find pretty cool is the open face motorcycle helmets. Then there are dirt bike helmets which are eagle shaped. Something like this –

One of the most popular brands in helmets are HJC and Bell Helmets. After starting in 1971, HJC has been offering a wide variety of helmets like the open face ones, the regular helmets, and motocross helmets as well. Bell Helmets was inaugurated in 1951 and in my opinion, anyone looking for those stylish arrow helmets, should go for Bell Helmets. Both the brands are quite well established and are spreading their wings worldwide.

Another one – SHOEI - offers a wide variety of helmets like J Wing Open face, hornet helmets and those regular flutter helmets. There are many more brands of Motorcycle Helmets available.

Now from helmets we move to the very necessary motorcycle saddlebags. They are really essential if you are on a road trip. They come in various sizes, shapes and designs. But the color is mostly black for all of them. I think these large saddlebags look stunning on bikes like Harley Davidson. But that’s just my two cents. There are other options as well.

Hold on! What makes a bike rider look amazing? Of course, it’s their leather vests. Whether it’s those bad men or those cool women riders who make your temptations rise, these vests are what really describe their style. Those cool ones with skulls make a male rider look dangerous and dashing. Doesn’t it? And, of course, something like this for a lady biker is awesome:

ODI At Its Quickest:2nd Match

Labels: , , , ,

This match was supposed to be played at Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh but amidst a hostile political situation in the state, organisers thought better to shift to the New Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur.
One's' loss is others' gain.....Nagpur stood witness to another action packed (And Runs packed) game between hosts India and Sri Lanka.
India won the toss and elected to bat first, but Dhoni's calculations went wrong as the Delhi Duo ( Viru & Gauti) was dismissed cheaply. Gambhir getting out in a rather byzerk manner as he collided with Chanaka Welagedara failed to reach back to the bowling crease, trying to complete a cheeky single with Sachin. Virat Kohli & Sachin were now left to rebuild the inning, they managed to put on a 62 run stand.
Kohli Completed his fifty but fell soon after on 54. Raina and Dhoni took charge at the middle having a century patnership at nearly run a ball, setting the Indian innings for another 300 + score. No Lankan bowler was spared and debutant S Lakmal (8-0-57-0) hammered the most, a late fury of runs saw India finishing 301-7 & MSD completing another century.
Anyone who the 1st ODI knew that 302 wasent unbeatable. The Lankan start set the platform for a successfull chase, Tharanga (37) & Dilshan (123) having a 102 run stand in just 14 overs,
Tharanga fell first (To Harbhajan), Sangakarra was run-out soon after. Dilshan had a solid patnership with Jayawardene in the middle overs. Dishan & Jayawardene's wickets gave hopes for an Indian comeback, but it wasent to be. Angello Mathews's quickfire 37 (Of 25 balls) took Lanka to the finish line, this being Lanka's 1st successfull 300+ chase in the subcontinent, T Dilshan being adjudged Man Of The Match.
Indian bowling & fielding had its share of problems. All regular bowlers (Exept Jadeja) were taken for runs, Nehra (10-0-72-0) for the most. In addition, Captain MS Dhoni has been banned for 2 ODIs on grounds of slow over rate, Sehwag or Yuvraj set to lead the side in his absence.
Now with the series level at 1-1, the contest is set to be all the more exiting. I can only hope India comes out on the top.

Fast Bowling returns to haunt Ponting

Labels: , , , , ,

For the first in his career, Ricky Ponting was forced to retire hurt.
First Ishant and now a budding express speedster Kemar Roach from West Indies...a place better known for tall legendary fast bowlers like Ambrose, Walsh, and many more against whom almost every batsman in this world feared to face them. Last two years while facing the fast bowlers have been horrid for the Punter. Coming from amidst all the hype just like Sharma, Roach was expected to do what he has done to Ponting in WACA...rip the batsman's body parts apart.

While Ishant during his long battle against Ricky fired the ball at a torrid pace and bounce mostly towards the chest and the ass, Roach nearly broke Punter's arm. But during both the encounters, Ponting was left hoping and sometimes in pain at the crease. One must appreciate though for the way he was determined to continue playing despite in pain. BRAVO the blunted Punter!
